Event Overview
Join the Wyoming Counseling Association for our Fall Conference on October 8th-10th, 2026. The Fall Conference is a dynamic professional development event designed for counselors across Wyoming and the Mountain West.
Attend in person in Casper, WY or participate through our live virtual stream, giving you flexible access to high quality learning wherever you are. Participants will have the opportunity to earn over 20 continuing education credits through engaging sessions led by experienced professionals.

Conference offerings include presentations focused on suicide prevention and assessment, ethics, and other timely topics relevant to clinical practice, school counseling, supervision, and community mental health. Whether you join us on campus or online, you will gain practical tools, current knowledge, and meaningful connection with colleagues committed to strengthening behavioral health in Wyoming.

WCA Fall Conference 2026
Resilience in a Changing World
October 8-10, 2026 | Casper, Wyoming

The Wyoming Counseling Association (WCA) invites dynamic, engaging presenters to submit proposals for our 2026 Fall Conference.
​
As our profession continues to navigate rapid change, we are centering this year’s conference on resilience—in our clients, our communities, and ourselves. We are especially seeking experiential and workshop-style sessions that provide hands-on learning, practical tools, and strategies that attendees can immediately apply in their work.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome proposals that are interactive, innovative, and grounded in practice. Strong submissions will include opportunities for participant engagement such as discussion, movement, guided practice, or creative modalities.

Suicide assessment and intervention

Ethics and professional practice

Trauma-informed, somatic, expressive arts, and play therapy approaches

Nature-based and equine-assisted interventions

Cultural humility and rural mental health, supporting diverse populations and current societal challenges

Wyoming-focused or regionally relevant topics

Preference will be given to presentations that provide practical skills, tools, and strategies participants can apply immediately.

Who Should Submit
We encourage proposals from counselors, social workers, LMFTs, addictions professionals, educators, researchers, graduate students, emerging professionals, and other allied health professionals. Whether you’re a seasoned presenter or sharing your expertise for the first time, your voice and experience are valued.​
Proposal Requirements

Lead presenter must hold at least a bachelor’s degree

Presenters must be available to present in person October 8–10, 2026

Sales of goods or services are not permitted during sessions

Volunteers
Conference Volunteers needed
WCA is seeking four dedicated volunteers to help us run the Fall Conference. Volunteers assist with registration, room support, and general event logistics to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for attendees.
​
In appreciation for your time and service, volunteers receive complimentary conference registration and are able to attend sessions when not on assigned duties.
